Wednesday Night Adult Fellowship Classes
In addition to our regular Nursery, Kids and Youth activities, we will offer these Adult Fellowship Classes for September and October 2010. Come join us for some teaching, fun and fellowship!
"Simple Life”
Led by Pastor Jimmy Trotz
Research reveals today’s adults feel their lives are overly stressful and misguided, not allowing time for what really counts. This class leads us to establish priorities and make choices based on those priorities. Breaking life down into four key sections (Time, Relationships, God, Money), we will learn how to foster a life that is more spiritual and less busy. This Bible-based, DVD-enhanced class flows from the research and solutions developed by best-selling authors Thom & Art Rainer. Bring your Bible, or use one of ours.
"Faith 360: Exploring Foundations in God’s Word”
Led by Pastor Ed Deming
The Bible says that we must always be ready to give a reason for the faith that we have, and that our faith comes by hearing the word of God. So knowing why we believe what we believe is critical for every Christian. Faith360 is a Bible study course designed to transform our faith by taking in the Word of God in a systematic way. The course will be offered in four distinct modules. The material is enhanced with personal readings, home assignments, study questions, class dialogs, regular reviews, and module tests. Notebooks and materials will be provided. Bring your Bible or use one of ours.
"Shepherding a Child’s Heart”
Led by Zach & Shannon Johnson
This class explores how we can speak to the hearts of our children. It’s a Bible study that is not simply about child-rearing, but rather is about knowing Christ from the heart and understanding how God's Word truly provides all we need for day-to-day life. No matter the age of your children, this insightful study provides perspectives & procedures for shepherding your child's heart into the paths of life in a God-lead way. Due to the unique requirements of this class and its small-groups format, a firm commitment is desired from those who choose to participate. Bring your Bible or use one of ours.
"SNAK & YAK Fellowship & Devotional”
Led by Marlene Otis
This class, for men and women, will meet together in the sanctuary each week, pile into the church van, and head to a local coffee shop for a refreshment and a light devotional. You will be blessed by the folk you will get to know, and will be enriched by the Word as you share an enjoyable hour together. Participants purchase their own refreshments, if desired. This class session is for adults only. Bring your Bible, or use one of ours.
"Casual Corn Hole for Adults"
Led by Bill Otis
We will provide the Corn Hole set and corn bags. Participants will select teams and fellowship together as we play casual Corn Hole. Corn hole is a no-impact, bag tossing sport which can be played by men and women of any age. Come dressed casual or directly from work. This class session is for adults only. Prior experience is not required. The Corn Hole set will be provided in the Sanctuary.
Guided Prayer Session for All Adults
Wednesday, October 13
Join us on this very special evening for a time of guided prayer! On this evening, all of our adult classes will gather together as Pastor Ed leads us on a pathway of corporate prayer. You will be blessed and strengthened as we set aside this evening for a “time apart” with the Lord. We will intercede for all of EWC’s ministries, and especially for our Annual Fall Fest. Come experience the presence of the Lord with us!
In addition to these classes, we have a Nursery and a class for kids aged birth to 4 years, a kids program called “The 1 Thing - Wednesdays” for kids aged 5 to 5th grade, and “Youth Night” for those in Middle & High School.
